Kingdom Generation Ministries

This is my very first package for my broadcasting class. It is about a new campus ministry called Kingdom Generation Ministries. It was founded this year on The University of Iowa campus by Elder Vince Allen of Cedar Rapids. It was a blast doing this and I hope all of you enjoy it!!

Anchor Lead-In: A local ministry is redefining what it means to be a church-goer as they reach out and cater to the needs of a group of Iowa residents.

Anchor Tag: For more information about the location and times of the services you can view the Kingdom Apostolic Ministries' website, www.kingdomapostolic.org

Enterprise Story Ideas

1. Old Capitol Terrace
There was a plaque located on by the steps as you are walking up to the Old Capitol area. It says who it was funded by, which was Glen Herrick Estate and the people of the state of Iowa. Who are these people? What is their connection with the University of Iowa? Why did they choose to fund something like this?

2. Campus Building Names
When going to class, most of us know the name of the building we must go to. But how did the UI come to naming those buildings, some are obviously named after people but are all? This could be a piece filled with the historical aspect of the UI's buildings

3. UI landscaping
Yes, we talked about the flower idea. But also when walking up the Capitol hill there is tons of grass area where we often see students lounging or playing. Who is in charge of this? How often do they have to mow? What do they do about littering?

4. Lights on buildings
As I walked around I never noticed before but on top of each of the buildings are these big lights. What are their purpose? Are they on all the buildings? Who's idea was it?

5. Poster Holders
There was a girl changing flyers alongside McBride and Schaeffer. What types of flyers are displayed? How often are they changed and who decides what goes in them?
